Burlington County Times To Be Event Partner For Miles Young Entrepreneur 2006
Burlington County Times to recognize Miles Young Entrepreneur 2006, an award conceptualized by Burlington County resident and entrepreneur Chris Miles to seek out the leading young entrepreneurs of Southern New Jersey.
MOORESTOWN, NJ - (December 9, 2005) – Miles Technologies, in cooperation with the Entrepreneurs Forum of Southern New Jersey, is pleased to announce the Burlington County Times, the leading daily newspaper for the County of Burlington, New Jersey, will be an Event Partner for the Miles Young Entrepreneur 2006 awards ceremony scheduled to take place at the Regency Palace, Mount Laurel, New Jersey, in May 2006.
Applications and nominations are now being accepted for the Miles Young Entrepreneur of Award, conceptualized by Burlington County Entrepreneur Chris Miles, 35, gives recognition to progressive young business owners under the age of 30 operating businesses in Southern New Jersey . Chris Miles started his first company at the age of 12 and founded Miles Technologies at the age of 26 in 1997.
The Burlington County Times will be featured at the Miles Young Entrepreneur 2006 awards ceremony, with fellow Event Partners including SJ Magazine, CN8 The Comcast Network and the Cherry Hill Regional Chamber of Commerce.
- QUALIFICATIONS
Founder(s) must be all under the age of 30 on Dec. 31st 2005
Company must be an independent, privately-held corporation, proprietorship, or partnership (not a subsidiary or division) and the founders must own the controlling interest in the company.
Company must have made its first sales prior to 3/1/2004
Company must have had sales at or above $75,000 in 2004
Company must have made a profit in 2005
Company must have principal place of business in:
Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean or Salem counties in New Jersey
Company must employ at least three employees on Dec. 31st 2005 other than the founder(s)
SELECTION PROCESS
The Entrepreneurs Forum of Southern New Jersey - a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering the development of entrepreneurial ideas and ventures and improving the success rate of emerging, growth-oriented companies in South Jersey and the Center for Innovation of Rowan University – will oversee the review of all financials and company information. All applications must be received by Miles Technologies by April 26, 2006.
EVENT
The Number One Young Entrepreneur of Southern New Jersey will be revealed in May 2006 at a special ceremony at the Regency Palace Mount Laurel, NJ . Details and finalist names will be posted online the week of May 22, 2006 at http://www.efsnj.org and http://www.milestechnologies.com.
FINDINGS
Winners will be recognized at a special ceremony in May 2006, where they will have the opportunity to meet and speak with Advisory Board members and small business advancement and strategy consultants of the Entrepreneurs Forum of Southern New Jersey. Winners will also be featured in a special section of SJ Magazine in the publication's June 2006 issue.
