Stage 1: Site Design Consultation/Discovery Meeting

	The website development process begins with a discovery meeting in which you share your ideas and preferences with the creative team at Miles Technologies. Together, we will establish goals for your website and determine your unique development requirements. After the discovery meeting, Miles Technologies will prepare a Custom Proposal that is specifically tailored to meet your development needs.

Stage 2: Design Meeting

Activities

Once the Custom Website Development Proposal is reviewed and approved, Miles Technologies will provide a development start date and begin implementing the proposed strategy. During this phase, we will hold a design meeting in which we research and review your model websites, assess your existing marketing materials, and develop a creative concept for your website. Miles Technologies has a complete website portfolio that can be reviewed during the design meeting in order to aid in developing your creative concept. If necessary, we will adjust the proposal to reflect the details discussed in the design meeting. This proposal turns into the Custom Proposal which will be followed in order to complete your development project.

Stage 3: Initial Mockups / Site Architecture / Design

	Activities
	Once the design meeting is complete and any modifications to the proposal have been approved, the creative team at Miles Technologies will create mockups of the homepage design as outlined in the proposal. These mockups set the framework for the look and feel of the entire site.

Stage 4: Review of Mockups

	Activities
	Based on your feedback of the Mockup(s), we will refine the designs to your specifications as outlined in the Custom Proposal.

Stage 5: Website Programming / Functionality

Activities

Upon your approval of a mockup, we begin to build in the website functionality. As we start building the pages and programming functionalities into the site, you are able to see your website take life at a link to our test server. Throughout this process, the project manager is in constant contact with you to provide updates, address concerns, and to answer questions you may have.

	Images In parallel with the web programming process, you will be gathering images that you would like to see included on your new website. You have the option to browse through Miles Technologies' stock photography source, have Miles Technologies research images for you, or enlist Miles Technologies to provide photography services. * Unless specified within Custom Proposal, Website Photography is quoted separately

	Content Also during the programming process, we will implement the content into your website. The in-house writing professionals at Miles Technologies can work with you to carefully craft optimized web content for your new site. If you prefer, you have the option of providing your own website content. * Unless specified within Custom Proposal, Website Content Writing is quoted separately

Stage 6: Building Your Online Presence (recommended)

	Activities
	In this optional website development phase, work with the Online Marketing and Public Relations team at Miles Technologies to define marketing goals for your website and to develop a multifaceted online marketing campaign including Search Engine Optimization, Pay Per Click, Social Media Optimization, and Online Public Relations.

Stage 7: Quality Assurance (QA) Testing

	As we build in the functionality to your new website, we do a thorough QA evaluation, testing the website for cross-browser compatibility and testing all links within the website.

Stage 8: Website Go-Live Date (Deployment)

	Activities
	When your new website is ready to go live, we schedule a “go-live” date and set the website live to the web. If your website is hosted with Miles Technologies, we take it live on our own server systems. If your website is hosted elsewhere, we hand over your files to be deployed by the third-party hosting provider.

Stage 9: After Launch

	Activities
	After your web site is pushed live, we recommend an aggressive and ongoing online marketing campaign to expand and maintain your online presence. We also recommend a monthly maintenance program to ensure that your site is kept current with regular updates.
