MOORESTOWN, NJ (MAY, 2006) - Miles Technologies is proud to announce that Robert Vogelbacher, 24, founder and president of Men of Steel, a Burlington County company that fabricates rebar, is the winner of the Miles Award 2006 and is the Young Entrepreneur of Southern New Jersey 2006. Chris Miles, 35, president and founder of Miles Technologies of Moorestown, and creator of the Miles Award, presented the Miles Award 2006 to Vogelbacher during a ceremony on May 19 at The Enterprise Center at BCC in Mount Laurel , Burlington County .
Vogelbacher has seen his company's revenues explode in one year from $50,000 to $1.5 million. He has also overseen a work force that increased from three employees shortly after the company started in July 2004 to 14, a number that may change soon as Vogelbacher is planning to hire more employees. The business recently grew out of its 6,000-square-foot location and moved into a 30,000-square-foot building. Vogelbacher attributes his success to the Men of Steel staff and his two mentors - his father, Ray Vogelbacher, owner of Crossroads Construction in Burlington Township and Dan Carlin, owner of Adelphia Metals Inc. in Cherry Hill.
