Executive Summary:
Public relations, media relations, strategic corporate branding and creative
events by Miles Marketing & Public Relations (MMPR) put Mulberry Tea House
in television, newspapers and magazines - as well as the minds and hearts
of South Jersey patrons.
The Challenge:
How does a small but exceptional tea house situated in a quiet historic
South Jersey village make a noise big enough to get it noticed throughout the
Greater Philadelphia region and beyond the Delaware Valley?
The Solution:
When Mulberry Tea House owners Dean and Lisa Jablon of Burlington County, New Jersey, came to Miles
Marketing and Public Relations (MMPR) for creative ideas, the couple were determined to put their newly
purchased historic tea house on the map.
"We wanted everyone in the Medford area, everyone in Burlington County and everyone within a 100 miles
radius to know about Mulberry Tea House - we wanted to be noticed," reports Dean Jablon of he and his wife's
initial objectives in launching their tea house on South Jersey.
Located in a 200-year-old historic home in Medford Village, Mulberry Tea House is a unique and exquisite
resource for gourmet teas, specialty pastries, unique catering and a full range of fine dining and event
experiences. Mulberry Tea House offers expanded hours to make its fine teas, specialty foods and extensive
assortment of award winning homemade desserts and pastries available for breakfast and lunch daily.
Mulberry Tea House, in addition to offering a true tea enjoyment experience, offers a variety of customized
gift packages and unique tea assortment gift ideas to enrich any special occasion, holiday season or event.
Within six months of working with MMPR, Mulberry Tea House found itself - quite prominently - featured
extensively by NBC-10, CN8 The Comcast Network, SJ Magazine and South Jersey's leading newspapers,
the Philadelphia Inquirer and The Courier-Post.
Within one year of working with MMPR, Mulberry Tea House had made three major television apperances and
scored a solid placement on the Best of 2007 ranking by SJ Magazine. Mulberry Tea House had even been
invited to do a special holiday taping at the home of CN8 journalist and personality, Lynn Doyle, as part of It's
Your Call with Lynn Doyle's 2006 holiday special. Additionally, with advertising plans in motion, and media
relations strategies to compliment, Mulberry Tea House found itself firmly on the map of South Jersey unique
and distinguished eateries.
"The results we received from Miles Marketing and Public Relations were beyond our expectations," Dean Jablon
shares. "We were on television, we were in print, they had terrific ideas for our business marketing and they
were continually creative on our behalf - the service and media results were really much more than I would have
thought possible for us in such a small window of time."
Marie Alonso, director of public relations for MMPR, shares her perspective on working with the Jablons in their media launch of the historic tea house. "The task was clear, we needed to do extensive media relations and media creativity to enable Mulberry Tea House to rise to a true level of distinction," Alonso reports. "Mulberry Tea House had to be on television, it had to be in newspapers and magazines in our region and most certainly Mulberry Tea House had to think differently about community events and general awareness tactics to promote client returns, client loyalty and general client growth."
Today, Mulberry Tea House is truly distinguished. With strong accolades by NBC-10, CN8 Your Morning, SJ Magazine, South Jersey Magazine and other media resources devoted to South Jersey, Mulberry Tea House is far more established and recognized by patrons throughout South Jersey.
Rest assured, Mulberry Tea House is far from being out of the limelight.
Plans are in the works to feature Mulberry Tea House on additional television shows and print coverage of Mulberry Tea House will extend throughout 2007 and 2008. The quiet little tea house in Medford Village is now a recognized South Jersey "must visit" establishment. Did MMPR make enough noise for Dean Jablon's taste? "Absolutely," he reports. "Thanks to MMPR, we really are on the map - and in people's minds."
