ABOUT THE WEBSITE DEVELOPER:
Miles IT is looking for a Website Developer to join our Internal Marketing team. The primary focus of the Website Developer is to ensure optimal functionality and user experience in all websites, landing pages and any other online digital assets that we develop. You will work as part of a dynamic team that possesses diverse skills across the various disciplines of digital marketing.
A TYPICAL DAY AS A WEBSITE DEVELOPER:
- Develop new custom websites for project customers, mainly in the WordPress platform, using HTML/CSS/PHP/JavaScript. Develop websites according to design mockups.
- Perform development updates to existing websites for customers (mostly WordPress). Update versions of plugins, WordPress, and PHP.
- Troubleshoot issues on customer’s websites as needed.
- Improve performance of aspects of WordPress websites we support such as site speed.
- Work with the design, content, marketing technology, and project management teams collaboratively.
- Develop landing pages and other marketing assets for customers. Platforms used may include WordPress, HubSpot, Pardot/Salesforce, and Marketo.
REQUIRED:
- 1+ years of work experience with custom WordPress website development (ability to code without page builders)
- Experience with the following technologies- HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress
- Patience and ability to work collaboratively, willingness to help out the team, strong work ethic, attention to quality and detail
- Passion for front end web development that is evident in the energy applied to producing high caliber work.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete by target dates while maintaining attention to detail.
PREFERRED:
- Education & Experience: BA and 2+ years of work experience with WordPress website development
- Experience with JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, Git, HubSpot, Pardot/Salesforce, Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager
- Ability to communicate about complex development concepts to customers when needed
